Jamboree Meet Recap: New Qualifiers, Big Time Drops & Tons of Team Spirit!
What an exciting day of racing for our Development swimmers! We’re thrilled to celebrate FOUR new Regional Group qualifiers — congratulations to Sophia, Emerson, Emmerik, and Coraline on achieving this major milestone!
We also saw some massive time drops across the board. Tiffany absolutely blew her 100 IM out of the water, taking an incredible 15 seconds off her best time — a result that bumps her up to D4. Damian wasn’t far behind in the “big drops” category, cutting 14 seconds from his 50 backstroke. Incredible swimming from both athletes!
In fact, all eight of our swimmers earned best times in every one of their races — a huge accomplishment that shows just how much their hard work and focus in practice is paying off.
To finish the day, swimmers teamed up for some exciting 4-person relays, always a highlight at this level. Racing as a group adds a different kind of fun and energy — teammates cheering right behind the blocks, sharing nerves, and celebrating each finish together.
There was also an extra challenge on deck: if swimmers won their heat when the bell rang, they earned a prize! Emmerik snagged one of those coveted wins — well done!
A big thank-you goes out to our two fantastic Junior Coaches, Rhys and Bea, whose support and leadership helped the meet run smoothly. And of course, thank you to all the parents and siblings who came out to cheer. Your encouragement truly makes a difference and helps create such a positive environment for our young swimmers.
