KAJ Snowfest Meet
January 24th-26th was a fun weekend of Long Course racing for 12 of our Regional and Age Group swimmers. Our top points scorers in Finals were Emily, Ainsley, Isla, and Nicolas. Individuals score points for their teams based on how they place in Finals. For many events, they take the top 16 swimmers for Finals. A few other swimmers who placed in the top 16 in their events were Madeleine, Bea, Tristan, Addison, and Elizabeth.
Our swimmers raced and cheered hard, with incredible enthusiasm. There were multiple second race opportunities for many of our athletes, which brings a lot of excitement due to the possibility of medals. There was a tremendous display of tenacity and determination to be able to get up and race in the evenings just as fast as you raced in the morning. It was impressive to see just how many dropped even more time in their Finals swims from Prelims.
A few other honourable mentions go out to Annabel, Kendra, and Isla who dropped the most time from their 200-meter events. Tristan, Nicolas, Emily, Ainsley, Madeleine, Annabel, and Isla all came away with 100% best times! What a great way to start off the Long Course season!
