family grant opportunities
There are a number of local or BC based grants focused on supporting Kids in Sport. If you are an Orca family (returning or prospective) who needs a little bit of Financial Support to register your kids, please check out our list below! While this is a non-exhaustive list, the grants we have included are a start! Let us know if you need registration confirmations, etc. for your grant applications. We'll do our best to help!
Kidsport
Summerland has its own KidSport Chapter! Local resident Nicole is the secretary treasurer and will work with us as she processes any Orca related applications. Please follow the link below for more!
Athletics 4 kids
While swimming is not currently on the list for this BC Grant, we would urge you to contact them (contact info here) and inquire anyway. Summer Sports Camps do appear to be eligible, so that's a start!
Jump-start
JumpStart provides financial aid to help eligible low income families pay registration and equipment fees so that their kids can participate in the sports they love. Please follow the link below for more!
Isparc Rise grant
This grant is to support kids who are or have been in care outside of the parental home. If your child qualifies, this is a hugely beneficial grant as I-Sparc is serious about supporting kids in finding healthy environments.
